How to Add Domains to the Allow List

The glomex Video Player includes domain restriction functionality to protect your content. The player will only function on domains that have been added to your allow list in our system.

Domain Allow List Process

To add domains to your allow list where you plan to embed the glomex Video Player:

  1. Compile a list of all domains and subdomains where you intend to use the player
  2. Contact your account manager or send an email to service@glomex.com
  3. Provide the complete list of domains in your request
  4. Our team will add your domains to the allow list and confirm when the process is complete

When adding domains to your allow list, consider including your top-level domain (e.g., example.com) instead of specific subdomains. This will allow the player to work across all subdomains (e.g., www.example.com, mobile.example.com, etc.) without requiring separate entries for each.

Allow List Troubleshooting

If you experience playback issues related to domain restrictions:

  1. Verify that the domain where you’re embedding the player exactly matches a domain on your allow list
  2. Check for protocol mismatches (http vs https)
  3. Ensure you’re not testing on a local development environment that hasn’t been added to your allow list
⚠️

If you’ve only added www.example.com to your allow list but are trying to embed the player on mobile.example.com, playback will be blocked. In this case, you should add the top-level domain example.com to enable playback across all subdomains.
